Base Salary

$133k - $162k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop robust back-end systems using Java 11+ and Spring Boot.
  • Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and architecture sessions with a hands-on approach.
  • Build and maintain microservices and event-driven systems for large-scale financial data.
  • Develop data integration and pipeline components connecting Snowflake, SQL Server, and real-time streaming platforms.
  • Implement and optimize Redis-based caching and data stores.
  • Contribute lightweight UI updates when needed in collaboration with front-end teammates.
  • Promote code quality, testing, automation, performance tuning, maintainability, and production readiness.
  • Collaborate with Product, Operations, and Engineering teams to align technical solutions with business goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • At least 4 years of professional experience with Java and object-oriented design.
  • Strong knowledge of Spring Boot, REST APIs, and enterprise integration patterns.
  • Deep SQL Server expertise, including stored procedures, performance tuning, and data modeling.
  • Experience with Redis for caching or data persistence.
  • Hands-on experience with distributed event streaming, messaging platforms, or similar publish-subscribe systems.
  • Familiarity with Snowflake and data pipeline concepts, including ETL and batch versus streaming.
  • Excellent communication and a strong focus on clean architecture and production readiness.
  • Preferred familiarity with Angular or React, JavaScript or TypeScript, and HTML/CSS.
  • Experience with agentic coding and a general understanding of how LLMs work is preferred.
  • Preferred exposure to container orchestration, OCI container packaging and runtimes, cloud-native environments, AWS or GCP, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Python, prompt engineering, and agentic AI.
  • Interest in financial systems, accounting, or investment technology is valued.
