Base Salary
$124k - $222k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement solutions for the Kubernetes platform, including infrastructure automation, CI/CD pipelines, and observability tools.
- Build and maintain core platform components for high availability, scalability, and security.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and application deployments using Terraform and Argo CD.
- Provide troubleshooting and support for platform-related issues in collaboration with development teams.
- Implement platform security best practices and maintain compliance with applicable industry standards.
- Create documentation, share knowledge, collaborate across locations and time zones, and stay current with platform engineering technologies.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on infrastructure experience in on-premises or cloud-based environments, including systems architecture, networking, and security.
- Strong understanding of Kubernetes concepts, architecture, and administration.
- Bachelor’s degree in a computer-related field or equivalent work experience.
- U.S. citizenship is required because the role supports U.S. federal government contracts.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance; an active TS/SCI with CI Poly is preferred.
- Preferred DoD 8570/8140 compliance with at least IAT Level II certification, a current Computing Environment credential, and one approved specialty certification such as CompTIA CySA+, GICSP, or CASP+.
- Proficiency with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform and CI/CD tools such as Argo CD.
- 3+ years of production experience with AWS cloud services.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language, preferably GoLang or Python.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana is desirable.
- Experience with security auditing, compliance frameworks, Apache Spark, Docker, and Kubernetes is desirable.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
