Base Salary
$146k - $234k/yr
Responsibilities
- Operate the Agentic AI platform across CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, observability, and runtime reliability.
- Build and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions or GitLab CI, reusable workflows, automated testing, quality gates, and deployment controls.
- Plan and execute releases, deployments, rollback procedures, release artifact management, and post-deployment health validation.
- Operate Amazon EKS and Kubernetes environments, including upgrades, troubleshooting, RBAC, Helm deployments, pod identity, and GitOps workflows.
- Build and manage AWS infrastructure using services including VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, CloudTrail, and KMS.
- Provision and manage infrastructure with OpenTofu or Terraform and administer identity, access, SSO, and provisioning workflows.
- Operate monitoring, logging, alerting, synthetic monitoring, service health indicators, and SLO-aligned thresholds.
- Assess logs and security events, remediate vulnerabilities and IAVM notices, and produce compliance evidence.
- Implement DAST, runtime security testing, secrets management, least-privilege controls, and software supply-chain integrity practices.
- Document runbooks and coordinate with senior engineers, security teams, program stakeholders, and customers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 12 years of professional experience, associate’s degree with 14 years, master’s degree with 10 years, or high school diploma/equivalent with 16 years.
- Hands-on experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or comparable systems.
- Production Kubernetes experience, ideally with Amazon EKS, including upgrades, RBAC, Helm deployments, and workload troubleshooting.
- Practical AWS experience with VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, CloudTrail, and KMS.
- Infrastructure-as-code experience with OpenTofu, Terraform, or comparable tools.
- Experience with monitoring, logging, alerting, identity and access management, and security testing integration.
- Scripting and automation skills in Python, Go, Bash, or comparable languages.
- Knowledge of secrets management, least-privilege design, software supply-chain integrity, and modern delivery patterns.
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
- Preferred qualifications include EKS at scale, ArgoCD or Flux, OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite, Nuclei, SLI/SLO practices, synthetic monitoring, IAVM workflows, OPA/Rego, Kyverno, Conftest, SBOMs, Cosign/Sigstore, SLSA, FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, RMF, OpenTelemetry, Loki, Tempo, ELK, relevant certifications, and AI/ML platform experience.
Benefits
- Target base salary range is $146,000–$234,000; employees may also be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus.
- The role is based in Reston, Virginia.
- The position supports national security and federal mission environments and requires U.S. citizenship and Public Trust eligibility.
