Responsibilities
- Plan and execute end-to-end integration engineering, from architecture and discovery through code implementation.
- Serve as the primary technical contact for strategic users and partners, resolving integration and operational issues.
- Lead strategic technical conversations about Stripe’s products, API architecture, timelines, and product changes.
- Collaborate with Sales, Solution Architecture, Implementation, Product, and Engineering teams.
- Debug Stripe and user code, inspect the Stripe codebase, test functionality, and build proof-of-concept integrations.
- Lead hands-on implementations and provide feedback on coding practices, CI/CD, and software architecture.
- Review and optimize user integrations for performance, reliability, and efficiency.
- Build dashboards, queries, analytics, and custom data reports for user business reviews and operational needs.
- Develop reusable processes and shared knowledge for the Professional Services team.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience in software engineering or integration engineering.
- Ability to write and debug code in Go, Java, C, C++, or similar languages.
- Comfort with code-level debugging of Stripe and user code.
- Strong generalist technical background with SQL proficiency and understanding of data structures and algorithms.
- Understanding of the payments domain and API security principles.
- Ability to lead technical conversations and explain Stripe’s product features and API architecture.
- Ability to map business requirements to reliable technical solutions and lead strategic user discussions.
- Customer-facing technical experience in solutions engineering, technical consulting, or implementation engineering is preferred.
- Experience mentoring engineers or guiding technical teams through complex implementations is preferred.
- Structured problem-solving, strong technical writing, and experience resolving ambiguous technical problems are preferred.
