Responsibilities
- Develop new payment features and services in Kotlin/Java.
- Design and implement internal and external APIs.
- Create and maintain Camunda processes.
- Participate in high-load system architecture design and development.
- Support and enhance existing services and solutions.
- Write tested code, including unit and integration tests, and conduct code reviews.
- Optimize application performance and database queries.
- Analyze and resolve production incidents and bugs.
- Process technical-support and user requests.
- Integrate external payment providers, systems, gateways, and processors, including 3DS.
- Analyze provider documentation, conduct proofs of concept, and define epics and implementation tasks.
- Collaborate with QA, analysts, product managers, team leads, and architects.
- Maintain technical documentation and write technical specifications.
- Assist with onboarding developers and maintaining code quality.
- Prepare technical and business epics, implementation tasks, and technical estimates.
- Participate in sprint planning and provide delivery estimates.
Requirements
- 3+ years of commercial development experience with Kotlin.
- Experience with the Spring Framework.
- Experience developing payment solutions such as billing systems, payment gateways, payment processors, or exchanges.
- Practical experience integrating external providers.
- Experience designing and optimizing relational databases, especially MySQL.
- Experience with NoSQL databases, especially Redis.
- Practical experience using AI-assisted coding tools such as Copilot, ChatGPT, or Codeium.
- Ability to critically review AI-generated code for production readiness and company-standard compliance.
- Knowledge of event-driven architecture and distributed messaging systems such as Apache Kafka.
- Strong software development and design principles, test-driven development, and CI/CD experience.
- Experience implementing simple and moderately complex interfaces with ReactJS and/or Svelte.
- Strong understanding of microservice architecture.
- English proficiency at B1 level or higher.
- Preferred: Camunda experience, including creating and supporting processes.
- Preferred: Understanding of PCI DSS, ISO 27001, and other information-security methodologies.
- Preferred: Practical AWS experience.
- Preferred: Jira and GitLab CI/CD experience.
