Software Engineer, Janus team, DDX
Pure StorageResponsibilities
- Design and build the declarative, intent-based policy engine, including policy modeling, evaluation, violation detection, and consistent state management.
- Develop resilient distributed control systems for cloud-managed and disconnected customer-operated deployments.
- Build scalable processing for large volumes of fleet telemetry.
- Add signal sources, detection capabilities, and integrations with FlashArray, FlashBlade, Fusion, and Pure1.
- Own features end to end from technical design and implementation through test automation, deployment, monitoring, and production support.
- Collaborate with engineering, product management, and architecture teams to shape technical solutions and engineering direction.
Requirements
- Experience building backend or distributed systems that operate reliably at scale, with knowledge of concurrency, performance, and fault tolerance.
- Proficiency in Go or Java and openness to working across Go, Java, and Python.
- Experience designing systems focused on correctness, data modeling, state consistency, edge cases, and partial failures.
- Experience taking software through the product lifecycle from early concepts and product definition through launch and production support.
- Ability to own complex features end to end and debug issues across services, APIs, and deployment boundaries.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills across engineering, product management, and architecture.
