Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain highly distributed, high-performance systems.
- Build and support resilient microservices applications across the full development lifecycle.
- Support the operations group with application problem analysis and resolution.
- Participate in rotating on-call support when required.
- Develop REST APIs and event-driven or messaging-based architectures.
- Design and develop relational databases and contribute to frontend functionality when required.
Requirements
- 3+ years of software development experience.
- A university degree in Computer Science Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with REST API development and microservices architecture.
- Experience developing Java applications with Spring, Spring Boot, JPA, and Hibernate.
- Experience with relational database design and development, including PostgreSQL or Oracle.
- Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS or Azure.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or AWS ECS for containerization and orchestration.
- Experience with application security, including authentication, authorization, and secure coding practices.
- Experience with frontend technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Angular.
- Experience working in agile development environments and contributing to the full software delivery lifecycle.
- Eligibility to work full-time for Interac Corp. in Canada.
- Successful candidates must complete applicable pre-employment background checks.
