Responsibilities
- Design, code, and launch scalable backend features and services for restaurant partners and their customers.
- Identify high-impact technical opportunities and develop creative solutions to improve Slice’s products.
- Own initiatives end-to-end from concept and solution definition through production delivery and iteration.
- Collaborate with product, design, and distributed engineering teams across multiple time zones.
- Use Python, Flask, Go, Ruby, and suitable cloud services to solve technical problems effectively.
- Write tests and maintain monitoring, logging, alerting, performance, and production reliability.
Requirements
- Experience building scalable backend systems with Python and Flask.
- Experience working with databases, cloud services, monitoring, and logging tools.
- Ability to learn and use different programming languages and frameworks, including Go and Ruby.
- Ability to own problems end-to-end and work effectively in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
- Strong remote collaboration, asynchronous communication, product judgment, and customer focus.
- Ability to participate in code reviews, technical interviews, and collaborative engineering work.
