Responsibilities
- Develop and support highly scalable, high-performance components within an Agile development team.
- Build secure server-side services using Java, Spring Boot, RESTful web services, Kafka, messaging technologies, and SQL/NoSQL databases.
- Write clean, readable, reusable Java code with automated unit and functional tests.
- Automate development-pipeline processes, identify efficiency improvements, reduce time-to-market, and enable continuous delivery.
- Design reusable code structures across multiple applications.
- Investigate new technologies and apply them to current and future technical challenges.
- Communicate technical details clearly and provide timely project updates.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of professional software development experience with Java, J2EE, Spring, Kafka, REST/microservices, Linux, and SQL/NoSQL databases.
- Experience developing secure server-side services using Java, Spring Boot, RESTful web services, Apache Data Utilities formats, SQL/NoSQL databases, and Kafka.
- Good knowledge of messaging and streaming technologies such as MQ and Kafka.
- Hands-on experience writing clean, reusable Java code with unit tests.
- Experience using Git and Maven in a collaborative software development environment.
- Ability to multitask effectively and provide timely updates.
- Preferred experience with Angular or React, with Angular preferred.
- Preferred intermediate Python experience.
- Preferred experience with Hadoop, Spark, cloud technologies, and containers.
- Preferred experience building generative AI solutions using Copilot and working with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, automated testing tools, or similar DevOps and delivery tools.
