Base Salary
$44k - $185k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and ship APIs and applications that power Cisco platforms.
- Write clean, maintainable backend code and design RESTful services and distributed architectures.
- Contribute to frontend systems as project needs require.
- Troubleshoot software issues collaboratively and develop and maintain scalable services.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an associate’s or bachelor’s degree program with two years of work experience, or a master’s degree program with no work experience.
- Pursuing Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field and expected to remain enrolled after the internship.
- Proficiency in Python, Java, or Go.
- Experience building or supporting software applications or services, including APIs.
- Familiarity with Git, Linux, and software engineering development environments.
- Preferred qualifications include proficiency in at least two of JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, or React; object-oriented programming experience; exposure to C/C++, RESTful services, distributed systems, microservices, cloud platforms, deployment and automation tools, networking, cloud security, or DevOps/DevSecOps practices.
