Base Salary
$61k - $123k/yr
Responsibilities
- Investigate unexpected events, software issues, bugs, and complex system-level field complaints; recommend test plans and verify fixes.
- Perform software testing throughout the software development lifecycle, including exploratory, system-level, end-to-end, and automated testing.
- Create and execute test cases, test datasets, verification and validation plans, test reports, and trace matrices from system specifications, requirements, and user stories.
- Evaluate test cases for automation suitability, execute automation scripts, and convert appropriate tests to automation.
- Review test coverage, identify gaps and overlaps, and provide feedback on test plans and development deliverables.
- Collaborate with development and quality teams, provide input on changing design requirements, and report status using established metrics.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, or a high school diploma with an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- At least 2 years of experience with a degree, or equivalent additional years of work experience in place of education.
- Moderate knowledge of Agile methodologies and test-driven methodologies.
- Demonstrated technical proficiency, creativity, independent thought, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and effective communication.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related engineering field and 3+ years of professional full-time experience in a similar field.
- Preferred: experience with data analytics and data-driven solutions, continuous integration and continuous deployment, Quality Center/HP ALM, web-based user interface testing, SUSE, Apache, Postgres, medical laboratories, or medical devices.
