Responsibilities
- Develop test strategies and automate tests using test frameworks and code or scripts.
- Create test plans, test cases, test harnesses, and test automation infrastructure.
- Execute functional, non-functional, performance, and resilience tests; debug issues and retest fixes.
- Influence software design and engineering practices through testability, accessibility, privacy, and bug-prevention strategies.
- Monitor product quality, document defects and test results, and track defect prioritization and resolution.
- Assist with integrating test automation into the continuous integration environment and collaborate with developers, Product Owners, and Test Leads.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM major or equivalent experience.
- 2–5 years of software testing experience.
- Ability to create automated tests from functional and non-functional requirements.
- Experience with software build management tools such as Maven or Gradle.
- Experience with testing tools such as Cucumber and Selenium.
- Knowledge of software testing, performance testing, and quality engineering techniques and strategies.
- Experience with JIRA, Confluence, and Office products.
- Knowledge of cloud technologies including GCP, AWS, or Azure.
- Cloud certification is strongly preferred.
- Ability to work with limited oversight, adapt to shifting priorities, and apply test methodologies, test planning, test case creation, and debugging.
