Software Engineer - Ethernet

- Validate software updates for vehicle ECUs and connected vehicle systems.
- Perform vehicle-level testing in test benches, HIL environments, and real vehicles.
- Plan, design, and execute test cases for OTA and workshop-based software updates.
- Automate software update validation using test frameworks and scripting tools.
- Conduct functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing before software release.
- Monitor update processes and analyze logs, traces, defects, failures, and performance issues.
- Collaborate with development, system integration, cybersecurity, and vehicle testing teams to resolve issues.
- Create and maintain test specifications, test reports, defect records, and validation documentation.
- Verify diagnostic functionality and data consistency before and after software updates.
- Support root cause analysis of software update failures found during testing or field trials.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience with Python scripting or CAPL for test automation.
- Knowledge of Robot Framework or other automation frameworks and experience maintaining automated test suites.
- Strong understanding of software update and release validation processes in automotive systems.
- Knowledge of OTA software update technologies.
- Experience with CAN, CAN FD, LIN, Automotive Ethernet, and UDS according to ISO 14229.
- Hands-on experience with Vector tools such as CANoe and CANalyzer.
- Experience with test planning, execution, defect tracking, and reporting.
- Experience with version control and configuration management tools such as Git and DNG.
- Ability to analyze DLT logs, Wireshark traces, and software update failure reports.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, collaboration, communication, and stakeholder interaction abilities.
- Experience working with large-scale data systems is required; Lua scripting experience is an advantage.
