Responsibilities
- Test ServiceNow SAM publisher implementations end to end, including requirements-based scenarios, entitlement and consumption logic, license metrics, custom SKUs, and calculation rules.
- Test business rules, script includes, scheduled jobs, audit scripts, and data-fix scripts on custom SAM report tables.
- Reconcile dashboard values with report and source records and validate vendor exports, API extracts, deduplication, and site and contract scoping.
- Run functional, regression, and UAT support cycles across development, test, and production instances.
- Extend the SAM automation framework and roadmap using ServiceNow ATF and server-side scripts, delivering maintainable and reusable regression automation.
- Log, track, retest, and document defects; maintain test cases and produce QA sign-off reports before UAT promotion.
- Support dashboard stakeholder reviews, participate in sprint ceremonies, estimate QA effort, and raise delivery risks.
Requirements
- At least two years of hands-on QA experience on the ServiceNow platform within at least three years of overall software testing experience.
- Working knowledge of ServiceNow SAM Professional or software asset management concepts, including entitlements, license metrics, software models, reconciliation, and compliance.
- Practical test automation experience, ideally with ServiceNow ATF, and sufficient JavaScript knowledge to read and write server-side scripts and GlideRecord queries.
- Strong data validation skills, including reconciling numbers across tables, reports, and spreadsheets and explaining data lineage.
- Experience writing structured test cases and sign-off reports and using Jira and a test management tool such as Zephyr.
- Clear written and spoken English and confidence presenting test results and discussing prior work with stakeholders.
- Preferred: ServiceNow Certified System Administrator, CIS-SAM certification, exposure to SaaS and enterprise software licensing models, REST API integration and vendor export testing, and familiarity with Agile delivery and ALM tools such as Jira.
