Responsibilities
- Create software requirements and define embedded software architecture.
- Design and implement software modules, interfaces, and algorithms.
- Perform unit-level verification and integrate software modules.
- Conduct software-software and software-hardware integration testing in host and target environments.
- Analyze issues identified during testing campaigns or in-service usage.
- Perform verification and validation across the software lifecycle.
- Follow DO-178B/C standards and maintain awareness of compliance risks.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with embedded software requirements engineering and static and dynamic architecture.
- Experience designing and developing embedded software modules, interfaces, and algorithms.
- Embedded programming experience across the software lifecycle from specification through verification.
- Experience with unit and integration testing in host and target environments.
- Experience with software configuration management and knowledge of requirements, design, and coding standards.
- Knowledge of real-time operating systems (RTOS).
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Experience with DO-178 standards, avionics systems and networks, and project management is preferred.
