Base Salary
$144k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable software systems that generate optimized last-mile delivery routes.
- Own technical design, implementation, production delivery, and support for AWS-native software services.
- Participate in code reviews and support high-quality software delivery throughout the development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with operations, science, product, and technology teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Identify root causes, implement permanent fixes, and improve operational processes and software quality.
- Develop and maintain fault-tolerant systems that balance customer requirements with technical constraints.
- Build reusable routing-platform components and APIs, host vehicle-routing optimization algorithms, and manage route lifecycle and status tracking.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- At least 1 year of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
- At least 1 year designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software applications using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
- At least 1 year of Object-Oriented Design experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: 3+ years covering the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
