Responsibilities
- Build and deploy production-grade software for distributed infrastructure services.
- Automate services and processes across storage, network, and server infrastructure.
- Collect infrastructure telemetry, make infrastructure visible and accessible, and generate actionable alerts.
- Design systems where AI agents integrate into human workflows.
- Evaluate human- and AI-generated code for correctness, quality, security, and performance.
- Maintain shared system context containing system designs, constraints, and standards for reliable AI operation.
- Participate in an on-call rotation.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience supporting codebases for distributed services implemented in modern programming languages such as Clojure, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Experience automating systems services and processes.
- Experience with source control, including Git, and unit testing.
- Experience publishing and consuming REST APIs and with CI/CD using Jenkins.
- Knowledge of Linux, including Red Hat configuration, packages, services, daemons, shells, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with configuration automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
- A related technical degree is required.
- Experience using AI development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Codex, or Cursor.
- Advanced prompt engineering skills and experience cultivating reliable system context for AI outputs.
- Preferred experience includes monitoring network and storage infrastructure in high-availability data center environments.
- Preferred experience includes Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm, and Spinnaker.
- Preferred network experience includes SNMP, BGP, OSPF or ISIS, LAN switching, backbone infrastructure, load balancers, and IPv4/IPv6 addressing and subnetting.
- Preferred experience includes troubleshooting HTTP, HTTPS, and TCP/UDP protocols.
- Preferred experience includes Elasticsearch, Cassandra, and systems automation in Python.
