Base Salary

$130k - $205k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design and evolve shared platform patterns and standards for infrastructure and service operations.
  • Build internal tooling and automation for easy adoption of platform patterns.
  • Partner with application engineers to identify and resolve friction points.
  • Design and maintain reusable CI/CD frameworks and workflows.
  • Create and maintain infrastructure-as-code abstractions using tools like Terraform.
  • Improve containerized application platforms using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Embed security and reliability best practices into platform systems.
  • Participate in incident reviews to identify systemic improvements.
  • Continuously enhance developer experience by reducing cognitive load.
  • Mentor engineers and foster a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in platform, infrastructure, cloud, or systems engineering roles.
  • Strong experience with cloud-based engineering systems (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Experience supporting containerized workloads and service platforms (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Solid software engineering experience in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Go, JavaScript).
  • Experience with service reliability concepts such as SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets.
  • Experience implementing observability practices using tools like Datadog or Prometheus.
  • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle.
  • A security-first mindset with experience embedding guardrails into systems.
  • Strong communication skills to partner across teams.
