Base Salary
$150k - $185k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, implementation, validation, and optimization of biomedical signal-processing algorithms for noninvasive monitoring technologies.
- Apply signal processing, statistical analysis, numerical modeling, and software-development expertise to solve complex technical challenges and improve algorithm performance, accuracy, and reliability.
- Collaborate with hardware, software, systems, clinical, quality, regulatory, and product management teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Provide technical leadership through design reviews, technical problem solving, and establishment of engineering best practices.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance while promoting knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, scientific literature, and industry trends to identify innovation opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, biomedical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, applied mathematics, or a related technical discipline.
- 10+ years of experience developing algorithms for biomedical signal processing or other complex sensing applications.
- Advanced programming proficiency in MATLAB and C/C++, with experience in Python or similar programming languages.
- Strong understanding of embedded systems and algorithm implementation considerations.
- Experience analyzing and interpreting large datasets using statistical methods.
- Preferred experience developing hemodynamic, blood pressure, or other physiological measurement algorithms for medical devices.
- Preferred knowledge of cardiovascular physiology, pulse oximetry, or other noninvasive monitoring technologies.
- Preferred experience working in FDA-regulated medical-device development environments.
