Responsibilities
- Develop, customize, and maintain Moodle Workplace interfaces, themes, templates, and plugins using PHP, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Configure and administer Moodle Workplace settings, users, roles, permissions, courses, programs, certifications, competency frameworks, and learning plans.
- Migrate, transform, cleanse, structure, and manage eLearning content and data from legacy systems into Moodle Workplace.
- Ensure Moodle content and themes comply with Section 508 and WCAG accessibility standards.
- Develop Moodle Workplace reports and automate reporting workflows for activity, completion, compliance, and performance metrics.
- Create executive-ready dashboards and visualizations using Excel and Power BI.
- Integrate and consolidate data from multiple sources and analyze trends to support operational and leadership decision-making.
- Troubleshoot and resolve Moodle Workplace technical and user issues while providing Tier 3 support.
- Support SCORM and xAPI course content, ensuring compatibility and accurate tracking.
- Provide user training, documentation, technical guidance, and ongoing platform support.
- Collaborate with IT teams, instructional designers, educators, and other stakeholders to align platform functionality with business and instructional needs.
- Use SQL and Git for reporting, troubleshooting, data validation, code management, enhancements, and deployments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of experience integrating and configuring Moodle Workplace in large-scale environments.
- Experience migrating eLearning content from legacy systems, including data extraction, transformation, and loading.
- Strong understanding of LMS platforms, eLearning platforms, and instructional design principles.
- Proficiency with PHP, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, including Moodle Workplace theme, template, and plugin customization.
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, MySQL, Apache servers, databases, cloud platforms, and server infrastructure.
- Knowledge of authentication protocols, access control mechanisms, security best practices, and eLearning compliance requirements.
- Experience troubleshooting Moodle Workplace integrations and resolving technical issues.
- Experience with federal or government contracts and security clearance processes is preferred.
- Moodle Certified Integration Specialist or Moodle Certified Administrator certification is highly desirable.
- Must be eligible to obtain a Department of Homeland Security EOD clearance, including proof of US citizenship and a favorable background investigation.
