Responsibilities
- Lead technical solution design and domain-driven decomposition for services supporting Ford Production System operations.
- Design, build, and scale performant Go microservices using gRPC and RESTful API protocols.
- Develop high-throughput, event-driven pipelines for plant-floor sensor events, telemetry, and industrial payloads using Go concurrency patterns.
- Architect distributed caching, database, tenant-isolation, and persistence patterns across SQL and NoSQL systems.
- Guide development of responsive React.js web applications and enforce frontend performance and accessibility standards.
- Establish coding standards, peer reviews, unit and integration testing, and architectural governance.
- Profile and optimize CPU, memory, goroutine, and network performance using Go runtime metrics and Chrome DevTools.
- Serve as technical lead by decomposing epics, creating technical stories, leading spike investigations, and grooming sprint backlogs.
- Coach, pair-program with, and mentor junior and mid-level software developers.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 3+ years as a Technical Lead, Lead Developer, or Software Architect guiding engineering squads and technical deliverables.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related quantitative field.
- Strong production experience with Go, microservices, concurrency patterns, memory allocation, and profiling.
- Extensive experience with Go web frameworks, gRPC, Protocol Buffers, and RESTful APIs.
- Extensive expertise with React.js, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, hooks, component lifecycles, and state management libraries.
- Experience with distributed system design, latency optimization, caching strategies, and database query tuning.
- Hands-on experience deploying and managing containerized applications on Kubernetes, including GKE or hybrid cloud environments.
- Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform services including Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, GKE, and BigQuery.
- Experience with test-driven development, CI/CD automation, and SonarQube quality gates.
- GCP Certified Professional Cloud Architect or Professional Data / DevOps Engineer certification is a plus.
