Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, mentor, and grow engineering talent within the team.
- Define and implement engineering roadmaps aligned with business needs and product roadmaps.
- Drive technology excellence by establishing coding standards, architecture principles, and engineering practices.
- Develop and implement ServiceNow IRM capabilities, including configurations, workflows, scripting, UI policies, ACLs, integrations, and CMDB functionality.
- Collaborate with project managers, product owners, architects, engineers, and program delivery teams to align technology efforts with business objectives.
- Evaluate tooling and third-party technologies, identify capability or security gaps, and recommend changes to implementation timelines and roadmaps.
- Provide architectural direction and recommendations that support program-level objectives and goals.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer I working with Governance, Risk and Compliance tools.
- 12+ years of overall software development experience.
- Strong background in system architecture and engineering standard processes.
- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow configurations, workflows, scripting, UI policies, ACLs, integrations, and CMDB.
- Experience with JavaScript, RESTful APIs, XML, Java, Jelly scripting, and AngularJS.
- 5+ years of Agile experience and hands-on Scaled Agile Framework experience.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or another technology-related subject.
- Active Certified System Administrator certificate.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presenting complex technology solutions to technical teams and senior leaders.
- Understanding of GRC/IRM industry trends.
- Preferred: GCP knowledge, systems analysis or programming experience, experience writing or initiating JavaScript utilities, ServiceNow Certified Application Developer credentials, and conceptual architecture knowledge.
- Machine learning or generative AI knowledge using NowAssist is preferred but not mandatory.
