Base Salary
$121k - $171k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, architecture, and hands-on development of scalable, resilient, and performant Java and Angular applications.
- Provide technical leadership and strategic direction to development teams while aligning solutions with enterprise architecture and business objectives.
- Mentor senior engineers and promote software quality, testing, security, performance, maintainability, and continuous learning.
- Lead troubleshooting, performance tuning, and root-cause analysis for critical production issues.
- Guide the adoption of microservices, event-driven architecture, cloud-native solutions, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
- Translate business needs into technical requirements, user stories, system designs, and architectural blueprints.
- Conduct process analysis, requirements workshops, gap analysis, and technical feasibility assessments with business stakeholders.
- Ensure delivered solutions meet business expectations, regulatory requirements, and compliance standards.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of progressive software development experience focused on backend systems and enterprise application delivery.
- At least 1 year of experience architecting, designing, and guiding complex enterprise backend applications.
- At least 5 years of experience designing, building, and consuming RESTful APIs and SOAP Web Services.
- Expert-level Java proficiency, including multithreading, concurrency, performance optimization, and memory management.
- Hands-on expertise with Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and Spring Security.
- Experience with distributed systems, microservices, event-driven architecture, API-first design, and containerized production applications.
- Hands-on experience with OpenShift or Kubernetes for deploying, managing, and scaling applications.
- Proficiency with Jenkins or Tekton, Git, automated testing, continuous integration, and continuous delivery practices.
- Strong analytical, debugging, communication, mentoring, stakeholder collaboration, and technical leadership skills.
- Bachelor’s or university degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
- Master’s degree and financial services industry experience are preferred.
- Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, IBM MQ, Linux, Autosys, Apigee, API Gateway, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Hazelcast, Redis, or Memcached is preferred.

- Full-time position.
- Primary location salary range is $120,800.00–$170,800.00.
