Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate voice agents and multi-turn conversational flows while owning quality and reliability.
- Architect intent routing, context management, dialogue state handling, fallback and escalation paths, and error recovery.
- Integrate voice agents with backend services to retrieve live data, trigger business processes, and handle asynchronous responses.
- Configure and tune ASR, TTS, and voice activity detection components for accuracy and latency.
- Instrument voice agents with conversation analytics, containment and drop-off tracking, error logging, and quality-regression alerting.
- Build reusable dialogue components, shared templates, and platform patterns.
- Collaborate with Computational Linguists to improve NLU quality, intent coverage, and entity extraction.
- Diagnose and resolve dialogue, NLU, and API integration issues and perform root-cause analysis.
- Contribute to design reviews, quality standards, and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience in conversational AI, voice agent development, or dialogue systems engineering.
- Production experience operating voice AI systems.
- Hands-on experience designing and implementing multi-turn dialogue systems and building agents rather than only configuring platforms.
- Strong experience with intent classification, entity extraction, slot filling, and dialogue state tracking.
- Strong REST API integration skills, including authentication, error handling, and asynchronous response handling.
