Responsibilities
- Own overall platform health, scaling, and planning.
- Develop self-service tools and automate workflows to improve data engineering efficiency.
- Build logging and monitoring tools to visualize platform state and improve SRE practices.
- Implement secure, robust, and highly available DevOps pipelines.
- Continue building out a multi-account AWS environment.
- Automate build and deployment processes.
Requirements
- Require 5+ years of experience in DevOps or software engineering.
- Require experience creating CI/CD processes and automation.
- Require deep knowledge of AWS cloud technology.
- Require experience with PLG stack, Datadog, or other enterprise monitoring tools.
- Require familiarity with infrastructure-as-code technologies such as Terraform and Pulumi.
- Require proficiency with containerization technologies such as Docker.
- Require proficiency with Python, Bash, or other scripting languages.
- Require U.S. citizenship because the role requires access to U.S.-only systems and export-controlled data.
- Require an active TS clearance.
- Preferred experience includes AWS GovCloud, Department of Defense or intelligence-community data processing, GitHub Actions, DevSecOps, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, application hardening and delivery, modern web services architectures, relational databases and SQL, advanced networking, overlays, VPNs, and zero-trust networks.
- Preferred candidates have strong collaboration and negotiation skills and can work on multifunctional projects.
- Must be able to work Pacific or Mountain Time and be willing to travel approximately 20–30%.
