Responsibilities
- Design and deliver end-to-end AI-enabled solutions within the team’s scope.
- Build NLP, Document AI, OCR, document parsing, classification, entity recognition, and structured or unstructured data extraction capabilities.
- Develop ETL/ELT pipelines and batch or streaming data processing for large document datasets.
- Write clean, efficient, maintainable, production-grade Python or Java code using API design, modularization, and design patterns.
- Build cloud-native services on GCP using data platforms, storage, compute, containerization, and Kubernetes.
- Develop API-based services and integrate AI, data, and other services using API-first design.
- Implement unit and integration testing, code reviews, source control, CI/CD pipelines, automated builds, and deployments.
- Design small-to-medium systems and evaluate performance, cost, complexity, scalability, and reliability trade-offs.
- Monitor and debug systems, including AI API latency, pipeline performance, logging, failures, and scalability constraints.
- Collaborate with product owners, data scientists, and platform teams while communicating technical solutions clearly.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of strong expertise in NLP, Document AI, and AI-driven data processing systems.
- 9–15 years of experience in software engineering and related AI or data-processing work.
- Strong software engineering skills focused on clean, scalable, production-grade solutions.
- Hands-on experience with data pipelines and cloud-native platforms, preferably GCP.
- Experience with text extraction, classification, entity recognition, OCR, document parsing, structured and unstructured data extraction, prompt engineering, and RAG.
- Strong programming skills in Python or Java.
- Experience with ETL/ELT, batch and streaming processing, SQL, BigQuery, data transformation, and enrichment.
- Experience with GCP services and platforms, Docker, Kubernetes, API-based services, CI/CD, Git, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
- Knowledge of logging, monitoring, performance tuning, debugging, reliability, scalability, system design, and integration trade-offs.
- Ability to work with product owners, data scientists, and platform teams and communicate technical solutions clearly.
- Knowledge of Agile practices including stories, sprints, and backlogs.
