Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the Holepunch peer-to-peer stack.
- Expand and contribute to an ecosystem containing more than 1,500 public npm modules.
- Build modular, maintainable Node.js software for production-scale applications.
- Create and manage reusable npm modules.
- Test and debug software.
- Optimize network protocols and systems for latency and throughput.
Requirements
- Proven experience developing Node.js applications at production scale.
- Strong competency in writing modular, maintainable code.
- Experience creating and managing reusable npm modules.
- Solid testing and debugging skills.
- Deep interest or experience with peer-to-peer technologies or distributed systems.
- Comfort working in a remote, globally distributed team with good communication skills.
- Experience with native Node.js extensions using C/C++ or binding JavaScript to lower-level code is preferred.
- Familiarity with advanced networking concepts is preferred.
- Open-source contributions, especially in peer-to-peer or decentralized technology, are preferred.
