Base Salary
$216k - $338k/yr
Responsibilities
- Establish team-level standards for research execution.
- Mentor and guide junior AI research engineers.
- Drive alignment across AI Research and Robotics teams.
- Review experimental design, code, and results for rigor.
- Onboard new researchers to enhance their effectiveness.
- Design, train, and deploy policies for robot interactions.
- Develop core reinforcement learning infrastructure.
- Create new simulation environments for training.
- Develop and test imitation learning methods.
- Collaborate with engineering teams for production policies.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in software engineering and/or AI/robotics.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with robot learning systems.
- Proven ability to mentor and develop junior engineers.
- Track record of leading complex technical initiatives.
- Strong ability to translate research problems into executable work.
- Proficient in Python and deep learning frameworks like PyTorch.
- Experience with learning-from-demonstration tools.
- Experience with robot data collection and testing.
- MS in Robotics, Computer Science, or a related field.
