Responsibilities
- Build and evolve EventMobi’s high-performance, responsive Progressive Web App.
- Implement offline-first capabilities, real-time updates, and scalable front-end architecture for cross-device and low-connectivity experiences.
- Own features from ideation and design review through implementation, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
- Design abstractions, improve large and legacy codebases, and balance performance, maintainability, and developer experience.
- Mentor engineers, lead by example, and advocate for clean code, strong testing, and disciplined engineering practices.
- Use AI-assisted development tools to improve throughput and focus on higher-impact engineering problems.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience building scalable, user-facing software.
- 4+ years of deep experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and React.
- Strong architectural thinking, problem-solving skills, and comfort working in large, evolving codebases.
- Experience with REST APIs, JSX, and modern HTML/CSS.
- Automated testing experience with Jest, React Testing Library, and end-to-end testing.
- Strong understanding of SOLID principles, domain modeling, and design patterns.
- Clear professional written communication and experience working in an async-first environment.
- A mentorship mindset and ability to make independent decisions.
- Preferred: strongly typed TypeScript across hooks and components; React Query or similar API integration libraries; mobile app development with Capacitor, Cordova, or React Native; Docker, AWS, and GitHub Actions experience.
