Base Salary
$150k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own and deliver quarterly goals while leading engineers through ambiguous, open-ended problems.
- Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics on ideation, technical constraints, risks, and trade-offs.
- Identify and lead resolution of project, process, technology, and business issues.
- Operate and support the availability of team-owned artifacts through metrics, escalation, keep-the-lights-on work, and on-call support.
- Establish and improve code review and design standards and promote quality through writing and technical talks.
- Develop team talent through feedback, guidance, and leading by example.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems at scale using languages such as Python or Kotlin.
- Experience developing highly available distributed systems using technologies such as AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
- Deep expertise in Kubernetes resource management, Helm charts, and operator patterns focused on security workloads.
- Experience defining technical plans and designing significant features or system components with simple, extensible architectures.
- Ability to make significant changes safely in large codebases using appropriate tools and practices.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with a global engineering team.
- A Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
