Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using Java, Spring Boot, React, and Python.
- Design and deploy cloud-native solutions on AWS with attention to availability, scalability, security, and operational stability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features.
- Use generative AI technologies, LLMs, AI agent frameworks, RAG, and prompt engineering.
- Lead effective use of authorized AI-assisted development tools and validate their outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
- Troubleshoot complex issues across the application stack and automate recurring remediation opportunities.
- Apply software development lifecycle tools and automation to improve delivery, quality, and productivity.
- Guide peers on responsible AI use, including secure handling of inputs and outputs and data sensitivity considerations.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 3 years of applied experience.
- Proven software development experience with Core Java, REST, Spring Boot, Spring modules, Hibernate, JUnit, and Mockito.
- Experience with jQuery, HTML, and React, along with design principles, design patterns, troubleshooting, and debugging.
- Strong understanding of AWS and experience deploying applications in a cloud environment.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Git, Kafka, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience writing SQL queries and working with database management concepts, JDBC, and Spring JPA.
- Experience with generative AI, AI agent frameworks such as LangChain and LangGraph, Python, LLMs, RAG, and prompt engineering.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and the ability to critically evaluate and refine AI-generated outputs.
- Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows and the ability to guide peers on safe usage.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, independent-working, collaboration, and deadline-management skills.
- Knowledge of Spec Driven development architecture.
- Preferred platform engineering experience, knowledge of syndicated deals, and financial services or regulated-industry experience.
