Responsibilities
- Partner with software engineers, designers, and product managers to deliver high-performing Android and mobile features for more than 100 million customers.
- Provide technical leadership for mobile architecture, design patterns, API design reviews, and reusable component development.
- Lead the design and development of scalable, flexible Android architecture and native UI experiences.
- Mentor engineers through feedback, code reviews, platform-specific best practices, and removal of technical obstacles.
- Develop expertise in mobile performance, accessibility, architecture, quality, and customer experience.
- Define engineering practices for feature flags and staged rollouts to improve product delivery and quality.
- Champion agentic AI tools and AI-native development practices to increase team velocity.
- Make hands-on technical contributions using advanced mobile platform capabilities and UI patterns.
- Establish high standards for coding, testing, performance, accessibility, and user experience.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field such as Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, or Engineering.
- At least 4 years of professional software engineering experience; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 3 years of experience building native mobile applications for Android with Kotlin or iOS with Swift.
- Proven experience building native Android applications with Kotlin.
- Experience with modern native UI frameworks such as Jetpack Compose.
- Experience designing and building automated mobile testing suites using tools such as JUnit and Espresso.
- Experience with native mobile performance tuning, scalable architectures, reusable component libraries, modular architecture, and modern state management patterns.
- Experience with Server-Driven UI architectures, metrics-driven staged rollouts, and feature flag strategies.
- Expertise with agentic AI coding tools and AI-assisted workflow patterns.
- Familiarity with on-device machine learning frameworks such as CoreML or TensorFlow Lite.
