Forward Deployed Engineer
InformaticaResponsibilities
- Own end-to-end technical delivery of scalable AI solutions, including writing code, configuring systems, troubleshooting, deployment, and optimization.
- Design and build custom Agentforce intelligent agents, LLM-based workflows, and bespoke solutions integrated with customer ecosystems.
- Design data models, build processing pipelines, and establish secure enterprise data integration strategies.
- Resolve complex technical issues involving data integration, model deployment, agent orchestration, system interactions, and AI behavior.
- Lead rapid prototyping, proofs of concept, minimum viable products, and iterative delivery with customer teams.
- Apply and promote engineering best practices for code quality, scalability, security, reliability, and maintainability.
- Serve as a strategic technical advisor to customers and translate business needs into technical requirements and solution designs.
- Lead technical engagements, mentor junior team members, review their work, and oversee technical project delivery.
- Provide field insights to influence Agentforce product enhancements and platform strategy.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience delivering high-quality, scalable production solutions in a professional environment.
- Strong background in computer science or a related engineering discipline.
- Expert-level proficiency in one or more of JavaScript, Java, Python, or Apex.
- Hands-on experience building and deploying AI/LLM solutions, integrating LLMs, using orchestration frameworks such as LangChain or LlamaIndex, applying prompt engineering, and working with agentic frameworks.
- Deep expertise in data modeling, processing, integration, and analytics, with proficiency in enterprise platforms such as Salesforce Data Cloud, Snowflake, Databricks, or BigQuery.
- Significant experience with the Salesforce platform, including advanced configuration, customization, and complex development.
- Ability to lead technical initiatives and engagements, mentor junior team members, and deliver quickly and effectively.
- Exceptional written, verbal, collaboration, communication, and presentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to travel 25–50% of the time to customer sites.
- Preferred: extensive Salesforce Data Cloud or Agentforce experience and conversational AI delivery in highly regulated industries.
- Preferred: expert professional experience with Apex or Python, customer-facing technical lead or architect experience, and advanced Salesforce certifications such as Platform Developer II, Application Architect, or System Architect.
- Preferred: deep knowledge of Salesforce Service, Sales, and Marketing Clouds; Salesforce Flows; Lightning Web Components; and complex custom development.
- Preferred: experience contributing to open-source AI frameworks or libraries.
