Responsibilities

  • Design and develop Search and Indexing components for Algolia’s NeuralSearch platform.
  • Operate search systems in production, including participation in an out-of-hours on-call rotation.
  • Ensure the quality, reliability, and soundness of distributed systems.
  • Apply expertise in distributed systems to solve complex scalability and architecture challenges.
  • Collaborate with other teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve high-impact issues.

Requirements

  • Experience designing and operating distributed systems in production.
  • Experience working with large datasets and high-traffic systems.
  • Strong commitment to code quality, automated testing, and engineering best practices.
  • Excellent spoken and written English skills.
  • Experience working in a high-growth company at the current stage and beyond, including building internal infrastructure.
