Responsibilities
- Advance the computer vision and deep learning technology powering Matroid’s platform.
- Research, experiment, iterate, develop, optimize, and productionize new deep learning capabilities end to end.
- Track academic computer vision and deep learning developments and determine how to apply them to real-world use cases.
- Collaborate with deep learning engineers and product, infrastructure, and field engineering teams.
- Maintain high software quality standards for systems affecting real-world users.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent.
- At least 3 years of industry and/or academic experience related to software, deep learning, and computer vision.
- Experience using and modifying state-of-the-art computer vision models and frameworks, with knowledge of their theoretical foundations.
- Knowledge of model architectures and techniques for object detection, segmentation, anomaly detection, object tracking, video understanding, and vision-language models.
- Strong software engineering, communication, presentation, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Preferred qualifications include specialization or significant research experience in computer vision, artificial intelligence, or machine learning; applied computer vision experience; relevant personal projects, competitions, or hackathons; and experience at high-growth technology startups.
