Responsibilities
- Perform test estimation, planning, test case design, execution, defect tracking, and testing status reporting.
- Improve test coverage and effectiveness through creative, methodical, and detail-oriented testing practices.
- Test web-based and mobile applications using black-box, risk-based, exploratory, and non-UI testing approaches.
- Collaborate with Scrum teams during requirements analysis and sprint planning and provide QA recommendations.
- Support product growth through competitor research and customer troubleshooting.
- Use AI chat tools and coding assistants for research, debugging, learning, and generating code, tests, and documentation.
- Maintain awareness of AI limitations, data privacy, sensitive client data handling, AI agents, and Model Context Protocol.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in software testing.
- Intermediate English proficiency and good communication skills.
- Experience testing web-based and mobile applications and solid knowledge of software development and testing processes.
- Experience with test approaches, test plans, and black-box, risk-based, exploratory, and non-UI testing techniques.
- Experience using AI chat tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini for research, debugging, and learning.
- Familiarity with at least one AI coding assistant such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude Code.
- Strong prompting skills for generating accurate code, tests, and documentation.
- Understanding of AI agents and Model Context Protocol, including responsible AI use and data privacy.
- Ability to self-learn, adapt to new technologies, collaborate effectively, and apply analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Preferred: experience creating and running automated tests with Katalon, Selenium, Robotium, UiAutomator, XCTest, or XCUITest.
- Preferred: hands-on experience with TestNG, Mocha, Jasmine, or Nightwatch.
