Responsibilities
- Develop front-end applications and reusable web components using modern web technologies.
- Design user-centered applications focused on usability, customization, and interaction speed.
- Participate in design and technical decisions for new and existing components.
- Code components and applications and create unit and integration tests.
- Improve the product, technology choices, and team ways of working.
- Build deployment scripts and follow coding and security standards.
- Monitor emerging web development trends, including ING-web, lion components, and Touchpoint building blocks.
Requirements
- Proficiency in JavaScript, ECMAScript 2015+, HTML, and CSS.
- Experience with TypeScript and familiarity with object-oriented and functional programming paradigms.
- A front-end engineering focus with an understanding of web components and lightweight, high-performance native components.
- A user-centered UX approach and experience collaborating through wireframes, rapid prototypes, or Figma designs.
- Knowledge of optimization techniques, JavaScript tooling, and unit and integration test automation.
- Advanced English proficiency.
- A bachelor’s degree or higher in an IT-related field is nice to have, not mandatory.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines is nice to have but not mandatory.
