Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy production-grade AI/ML solutions supporting business objectives and advisor experiences.
- Build AI-powered applications using LLMs, generative AI, agentic workflows, RAG architectures, and machine learning models.
- Lead the full software engineering lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, monitoring, and optimization.
- Partner with business, product, data, engineering, and architecture teams to identify use cases and create scalable technical solutions.
- Develop AI-enabled products, platforms, and tools that improve advisor productivity, operational efficiency, and client experience.
- Build and maintain cloud-native AI solutions using AWS services, including Bedrock.
- Design APIs, microservices, and platform services that provide reusable enterprise AI capabilities.
- Establish best practices for AI development, model evaluation, deployment, observability, security, and responsible AI.
- Evaluate emerging AI technologies and provide technical leadership, mentoring, architectural guidance, and stakeholder presentations.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of software engineering, AI/ML engineering, or machine learning development experience with a record of deploying production AI solutions in complex enterprise environments.
- Strong hands-on Python programming and experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, LangChain, or similar AI/ML frameworks.
- Experience delivering generative AI and machine learning solutions, including LLM applications, NLP, RAG architectures, AI agents, or model serving.
- Strong cloud engineering experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP for scalable AI/ML workloads and cloud-native applications.
- Experience in regulated industries with governance, security, risk, and compliance requirements.
- Understanding of supervised and unsupervised learning, deep learning, NLP, recommendation systems, predictive analytics, model governance, responsible AI, privacy, and risk management.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals involving APIs, microservices, scalable architectures, testing, and deployment practices.
- Experience taking AI solutions from concept through production deployment, monitoring, and optimization.
- Demonstrated technical leadership, mentoring, architectural design, stakeholder partnership, and communication skills.
- Preferred experience includes advisor-facing or customer-facing AI products, financial services, AWS AI services, vector databases, embeddings, knowledge graphs, agentic AI, LLM orchestration, MLOps, model lifecycle management, observability, big data platforms, and AI governance.
- A bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field is listed; a Ph.D. is preferred.
