Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, deploy, and operate high-quality software features across the full development lifecycle.
- Improve major portions of the codebase through feature development, refactoring, and deprecation work.
- Write maintainable code and provide meaningful code reviews for engineers at all levels.
- Identify root causes of operational issues and improve the team's operational health.
- Collaborate with customers, stakeholders, and peers to translate business requirements into reliable, scalable software.
- Create technical documentation and mentor or train teammates on systems and engineering practices.
- Balance new feature development with operational priorities and contribute to continuous improvement.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: at least 3 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
