Responsibilities
- Perform database maintenance, performance tuning, migrations, and operational activities across SQL Server and PostgreSQL environments.
- Own medium-complexity database engineering work from requirements through implementation and release.
- Troubleshoot production database issues and contribute to long-term platform improvements.
- Use AI-assisted tools to accelerate delivery and validate outputs for quality, security, and accuracy.
- Contribute to technical design discussions and database modernization initiatives.
- Write and maintain automated tests and validation checks.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, and Git-based workflows.
Requirements
- Solid experience in database engineering, database administration, or a similar role.
- Strong working knowledge of SQL Server and/or PostgreSQL, including performance tuning and database operations.
- Experience with backups, high availability, security, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with CI/CD practices, source control, and infrastructure automation.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A proactive mindset, attention to detail, and commitment to continuous learning.
