Base Salary

$142k - $197k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design and operate Kubernetes EKS clusters across production, staging, and ephemeral environments.
  • Evolve AWS infrastructure and network architecture, including VPCs, subnets, IAM, and account structure.
  • Build and maintain infrastructure-as-code and GitOps workflows using Terraform, CDK, and ArgoCD.
  • Define and drive SLOs, analyze incidents, and implement systemic reliability and performance fixes.
  • Participate in and improve the on-call rotation, lead incident response, and conduct post-incident reviews.
  • Partner with SRE, Delivery, InfoSec, and Product/ML teams on infrastructure changes and platform standards.
  • Improve developer experience by simplifying platform usage, reducing toil, and enabling faster product and ML development.
  • Optimize resource utilization across Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure to improve cost efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 3 years of professional experience and 3 years operating Kubernetes in production.
  • Experience with Kubernetes cluster networking, storage, and RBAC.
  • Proficiency with AWS infrastructure, including VPC design, networking, and IAM.
  • Expertise implementing infrastructure-as-code with Terraform or AWS CDK.
  • Experience implementing GitOps workflows with ArgoCD or a similar tool.
  • Ability to influence technical decisions across teams and drive adoption of platform standards.
  • Preferred experience with Istio or Envoy, multi-cluster Kubernetes architectures, cloud networking at scale, Cloudflare or similar edge platforms, and cloud security, identity, and compliance frameworks.
  • Preferred knowledge of IAM, SOC 2, and CIS benchmarks.
