Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Own technical architecture, standards, technical direction, and escalations for a core Developer Experience platform engineering domain.
- Align internal developer platform investments across CAP, CI/CD, software supply chain security, and partner Acceleration platforms.
- Influence enterprise architecture related to platform interoperability, AI-enabled systems, observability, and edge computing.
- Lead AI-enabled SDLC strategy and adoption of coding assistants, agentic development tools, and AI-powered engineering workflows.
- Shape open source strategy, licensing practices, community engagement, and contribution standards.
- Drive the evolution of platforms such as Flip toward open, AI-driven, and edge-enabled solutions.
- Influence senior engineers and engineering leaders across organizational boundaries to improve technical standards and engineering excellence.
- Evaluate build-versus-buy decisions and conduct technical due diligence for developer tooling, secrets management, AI infrastructure, API gateways, feature flagging, developer portals, and platform engineering technologies.
Requirements
- 12+ years of software engineering experience, including significant technical leadership in Principal, Staff+, or Distinguished Engineer roles.
- Proven success leading technical strategy and architecture in large-scale enterprise environments, preferably supporting organizations with 10,000+ engineers.
- Deep hands-on expertise with internal developer platforms, Kubernetes-based infrastructure, cloud-native technologies, and CI/CD ecosystems.
- Strong experience with AI-assisted software development, coding assistants, agentic development frameworks, and AI-enabled SDLC practices.
- Demonstrated ability to influence technical strategy and architecture across organizational boundaries without direct reporting authority.
- Active participation and credibility in open source communities through contribution, maintenance, or project leadership.
- Exceptional stakeholder management, executive communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Experience evaluating and implementing modern developer tooling, platform engineering solutions, and software delivery technologies.
- Experience with API gateway technologies such as Apigee, Kong, Azure API Management, or similar enterprise API platforms.
- Background with feature flagging platforms, developer portals, software supply chain security, or platform engineering products is preferred.
- Experience in regulated or compliance-driven industries and enterprise-wide AI transformation initiatives is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, information systems, or a related quantitative discipline, or equivalent work experience; a master’s degree is preferred.
