Base Salary
$217k - $303k/yr
Responsibilities
- Independently own high-value optimization initiatives across training, inference, or launch-readiness for Ads ML workloads.
- Diagnose bottlenecks in real production systems using profiling, benchmarking, and observability.
- Build performance tooling, optimization playbooks, and efficiency primitives that benefit multiple teams.
- Improve launch-safety and efficiency readiness through load testing and operational confidence.
- Collaborate with model owners and platform teams to implement standard solutions.
- Contribute to the team’s technical direction by identifying patterns and opportunities for reuse.
- Mentor less-experienced engineers in code, debugging, and execution habits.
Requirements
- Deep ML systems experience with real production models and workloads.
- Hands-on experience improving training or serving efficiency with measurable outcomes.
- Strong technical judgment across model-level, runtime-level, and infrastructure-level optimizations.
- Ability to manage complex projects and collaborate across teams.
- Good instincts for maintainability and future reuse in solutions.
- Strong communication skills to explain tradeoffs to engineers and partner teams.
