Responsibilities

  • Build high-performance communications infrastructure for personalized in-app messages and lifecycle notifications across mobile, web, and checkout surfaces.
  • Architect resilient, idempotent financial settlement workflows and digital voucher vaulting systems with transactional consistency and anti-abuse controls.
  • Design low-latency feature stores and telemetry pipelines for A/B testing, counterfactual logging, and causal attribution.
  • Implement stateful milestone quest engines and gamified reward mechanics to increase user engagement and improve unit economics.
  • Lead technical execution for multi-quarter projects, conduct design reviews, mentor engineers, and promote AI-assisted development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 5 years of software programming experience in C++, Java, Python, or Go.
  • At least 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products and 1 year of software design and architecture experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience designing, building, and operating scalable backend distributed systems, microservices architectures, or high-throughput APIs.
  • Experience leading technical design and end-to-end delivery of multi-quarter software engineering projects.
  • Preferred experience with event-motivated architectures, pub/sub messaging queues, real-time stream processing pipelines, distributed relational databases, schema lifecycle management, transaction isolation, and idempotency patterns.
  • Preferred domain experience in consumer payments, loyalty and rewards, promotional voucher systems, or growth and conversion funnel optimization.
  • Preferred experience with large-scale experimentation platforms, counterfactual evaluation, data science collaboration, and AI-powered development tools.
  • Preferred track record of cross-functional leadership and technical communication across globally distributed engineering teams.
