Base Salary
$151k - $265k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement mapping and localization systems for diverse vehicle platforms.
- Build scalable systems for local and global map construction and live-data fusion.
- Develop real-time onboard localization and offboard localization methods.
- Use inertial sensors, vehicle signals, GNSS, cameras, lidars, and radars for mapping and localization.
- Improve system performance through large-scale, data-driven methods grounded in first principles.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Applied Mathematics, or a related engineering field.
- At least 3 years of experience building software components or subsystems for real-world mapping and localization challenges.
- Deep understanding of localization concepts, world representations, transforms, mapping and localization interactions, and error analysis.
- Knowledge of how to analyze and compare hardware solutions for localization.
- Expertise in C++ programming.
- Preferred: Master’s or PhD focused on localization, mapping, or a closely related field.
- Preferred: Hands-on expertise in SLAM, state estimation, nonlinear optimization, computer vision, 3D geometry, numerical analysis, or distributed systems.
- Preferred: Understanding of localization sensors, industry solutions, and production-system approaches.
- Preferred: Experience with large-scale data processing frameworks.
