Base Salary
$151k - $265k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement a reliable mapping and localization system for multiple vehicle platforms and dynamic environments.
- Build scalable local and global mapping systems that fuse live data with maps.
- Develop real-time onboard localization with high integrity and offboard localization methods.
- Use inertial sensors, vehicle signals, GNSS, cameras, lidars, and radars for mapping and localization.
- Improve system performance continuously through large-scale, data-driven methods grounded in first principles.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, robotics, applied mathematics, or a related engineering field.
- At least 3 years of experience building software components or subsystems for real-world mapping and localization challenges.
- Deep understanding of localization concepts, world representations and transforms, mapping and localization relationships, and error analysis.
- Knowledge of analyzing and comparing hardware solutions for localization.
- Expertise in C++ programming.
- A master’s or PhD focused on localization, mapping, or a closely related field is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with SLAM, state estimation, non-linear optimization, computer vision, 3D geometry, numerical analysis, or distributed systems is preferred.
- Understanding of localization sensors, industry solutions, and production-system approaches is preferred.
- Experience with large-scale data processing frameworks is preferred.
