Responsibilities
- Design and implement backend services and REST APIs.
- Develop new features in collaboration with the Product Owner and Architects.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, and security.
- Write unit and integration tests and review merge requests for coding standards.
- Troubleshoot incidents and perform root-cause analysis.
- Mentor junior and mid-level developers.
- Document technical solutions.
- Collaborate with DevOps on deployments and releases.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and application-related discussions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Interaction Design, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in backend development roles, ideally involving enterprise-grade web applications.
- Expert knowledge of TypeScript and Node.js, with deep understanding of REST APIs and microservices.
- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL data modeling, SQL optimization, backend architecture, and API design.
- Experience with Git, GitLab, CI workflows, Jest, and secure software development principles.
- Experience with Docker and containerized development, plus basic DevOps knowledge for deployments and release processes.
- Kubernetes or OpenShift experience, AWS fundamentals, and geospatial technology experience are preferred or advantageous.
- Fluent English, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, proactive communication, teamwork, quality awareness, and a mentoring mindset.
- Agile mindset and experience collaborating in Agile ceremonies, including Scrum or SAFe.
- Passion for continuous learning and adopting new technologies.
