Base Salary
$157k - $235k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own and solve problems end to end across a wide range of systems, processes, and technologies.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, data scientists, and product managers to develop features and products.
- Uphold engineering standards and promote consistency across codebases and processes.
- Build APIs and user experiences that enable merchants to run and scale their businesses on Stripe.
- Contribute to the design and architecture of Stripe’s next-generation infrastructure.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- At least two years of experience in software development.
- Two years of experience working across the stack and navigating codebases with different languages and tools.
- Two years of experience developing user-facing experiences and writing queries to analyze experiment results.
- Two years of experience programming with Ruby, Java, Scala, and SQL.
- Two years of experience with cloud-based services including gRPC, GraphQL, and AWS.
- Proficiency with MongoDB, Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, Grafana, Prometheus, and AWS.
- Experience with macOS and Unix-based operating systems.
