Responsibilities
- Architect, design, implement, and manage highly available, scalable, and secure IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS solutions.
- Apply security best practices across cloud and on-premises environments, remediate vulnerabilities and misconfigurations, and manage identity, access, conditional access, zero trust, and least-privilege controls.
- Plan, test, document, and support disaster recovery capabilities and assess the DR impact of cloud, server, and storage decisions.
- Lead network enhancement, monitoring, troubleshooting, and problem-resolution activities.
- Monitor and alert on servers and services using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Microsoft Sentinel.
- Create and review architecture and solution design documentation and provide technical leadership and guidance to team members.
- Serve as a senior escalation point for complex issues and collaborate with infrastructure, application, security, management, and cross-regional teams.
- Support cloud and on-premises technologies, manage priorities, and contribute to infrastructure initiatives and IT strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in corporate cloud or on-premises network environments.
- Proven expertise designing, building, and managing Microsoft Azure cloud solutions; AWS and Google Cloud Platform experience is preferred.
- Strong proficiency with Linux deployments, management, and cloud-native application configurations, with container and orchestration experience using Kubernetes and Docker as a plus.
- Deep understanding of cloud computing across compute, storage, databases, messaging, networking, and security, plus DNS, DHCP, Azure Active Directory, and file and directory permissions.
- Experience with disaster recovery planning and Azure Site Recovery, Azure Backup, Azure Migrate, and Azure VMware Solution.
- Hands-on administration of VMware vSphere, NSX, Tanzu, and hybrid identity configurations involving Microsoft Entra ID and Entra Connect.
- Ability to produce and review architecture documentation, provide technical leadership, work with senior management, and support major infrastructure initiatives.
- Strong customer service, project management, analytical, problem-solving, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple offices and culturally diverse teams while managing shifting priorities and deadlines.
- Strong understanding of secure cloud infrastructure, application runtime environments, and distributed fault-tolerant systems.
