Responsibilities
- Own meaningful product areas end-to-end from problem framing to production rollout.
- Collaborate with product, design, data, and clinical teams to shape impactful solutions.
- Build and evolve secure, well-tested software across backend, frontend, and data surfaces.
- Use data and user feedback to validate solutions and drive iterations.
- Communicate proactively across globally distributed teams in ambiguous environments.
- Make sound trade-offs in a regulated environment regarding speed, safety, and quality.
- Improve Pelago's engineering practices and documentation.
Requirements
- Strong production experience in a startup or scale-up environment.
- Excellent TypeScript/Node skills and comfort with APIs and cloud infrastructure.
- Strong product sense, focusing on user and business problems.
- Ability to operate autonomously in ambiguous situations.
- Solid instincts for testing, observability, and reliability.
- Fluency with AI-augmented engineering workflows.
