Base Salary

$150k - $220k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Build and scale core mobile and web application functionality in React Native across the betting entry lifecycle
  • Investigate and resolve critical React Native client issues and implement guardrails to prevent recurrence
  • Lead design reviews for initiatives spanning iOS, Android, and React Native clients
  • Partner with backend, product, and design teams on entry placement, confirmation, slip changes, errors, and bet history
  • Convert ambiguous cross-team goals into concrete plans with milestones and clear owners
  • Use product analytics, error dashboards, and session data to validate fixes and identify regressions
  • Coach engineers on design reasoning and ownership while creating reusable patterns
  • Anticipate and mitigate risks in shared systems before they affect teams or customers

Requirements

  • 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with meaningful React Native experience and a strong understanding of native iOS and Android layers
  • Experience solving cross-cutting or ambiguous problems spanning multiple services, teams, or platforms
  • Track record leading technical initiatives involving performance, reliability, or developer velocity improvements with measurable impact
  • Ability to turn high-level goals into executable plans with milestones and owners
  • Collaborative coaching mindset and strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with mobile app performance, testability, and reliable feature delivery at scale
  • Background in sports, fantasy, or gaming is preferred
  • Experience with wagering, betting, or other high-stakes transactional flows is preferred
  • Familiarity with Amplitude, Datadog, or similar client-side instrumentation and monitoring tools is preferred
